Tricks To Be More Kind In Your Daily Life
Be kind regardless
It is not a secret a little bit of compassion goes a long way. In contrast to what most of us believe, being kind can lead us to a more peaceful path in life. It works almost like forgiveness, you forgive to free you up for a better life, despite what many people been kind makes us feel better inside and out.
Before you pass any judgment or even discard this point of view, give these ideas a chance to prove you wrong and a chance to feel really good.
Show genuine interest in people.
It is for a reason that we have to ears and only one mouth, we were meant to listen more and confront less. We all have a tendency to talk more than we should. Either to avoid uncomfortable silence or simply because we just talk. To avoid becoming self-centered, try to know more about others’ lives without coming across as an overly intrusive person. Ask people questions about themselves and how they are doing. These things will show them that you care about them and want to know about their perspectives and experiences.
Shows respect regardless of age.
This may seem small and insignificant, but you will be surprised by the studies which show what difference they can make. Saying ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’ along with a smile goes a long way in boosting your interpersonal relationships.
Be kind to others.
Whether it be coworkers doing office projects or just holding the door open or offering to help to carry stranger’s groceries, offering your help to those around you one of the best ways you can become more a better neighbor or a better human being.
Your posture speaks volumes.
Experts study body language for a reason. It really does reflect your mood and respect for others. Your facial expression shows how invested in could be in most situations, could be a long line, or it could just be a kid not behaving very well in public. A casual smile will go a long way in most situations, just be aware of the other person personality. After all, not everyone is a social butterfly. So take with a grain of salt.
Don’t hesitate to make others feel good.
Giving compliments is one of the best ways to lift someone’s spirit. Small gestures or a kind word are ‘you look fabulous today’ or ‘I like your shoes,’ can make the other person feel appreciated it may even turn out to be the high point of their day. It is one of the easiest things to do, we see beautiful people and beautiful things all day long. So don’t hold it to your self, express it to the maximum, it will soon become part of your routine to uplift other spirits.
Dress up for yourself and no one else.
Either to stay home and perhaps work all day, there is nothing more uplifting then passing by a mirror and taking a second look at yourself. Most of us get all doll up when running errands as if we were dressing up for others. It is always a good thing to look your best at any time, it boosts our self steam and makes our outing even more fun. So why not do the same thing when staying home, after all, we all decorate our house to satisfy our taste so why not dress up in something other than T-shirts or pajamas to enjoy our home. Unless you are planning to spend the day in bed, ditch the Pajames first thing in the morning. So get out of bed and then proceed to take care of yourself, you deserve it.
Make it into your daily routine, dress up in something comfortable but not sloppy, put one your moisturize, your skin appreciate. We only have one face so let’s be kind in that department as well. Put on your lip gloss and start your day, I can guarantee that you will feel much better and perhaps even more productive.
Wonderful things happen when we feel wonderful.
